"Just a couple of weeks before Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2007, much of the festival site was under water. Yet by Thursday afternoon, it was sunshine that flooded the campsites on the meadows that had been lakebeds just a fortnight earlier.

The sun continued to shine, the rain even holding off during Friday evening when Richard Thompson took the stage in two sets lasting nearly three hours - his mythical 'rain god' personna evaporated in the balmy evening of Friday 10 August although, of course, his 'rock god' status remains undiminished..."
